Giants knock off the Cowboys 15-10, but miss the playoffs.

New York holds off Dallas, which rests several stars, but can't get the help it needs to make the playoffs when Green Bay beats Tampa Bay. The Giants hold the Cowboys to just 183 yards and force a safety for the go-ahead score when Rodney Peete is stripped of the football and it rolls out of the end zone for a 12-10 edge in the 3rd quarter.

Emmitt Smith sits out the contest, while Troy Aikman departs in the 2nd quarter. However, the Cowboys draw even when Blair Thomas scores on a 1-yard run in the 3rd quarter. However, the Giants put together enough offense behind Rodney Hampton's 91 yards rushing to dominate the clock and hang on for the win.
