Los Angeles rides a battered Jeff Hostetler to the victory over San Diego. Each time the Raiders take the lead the Chargers answer back until Hostetler goes 5-of-5 for 68 yards on a drive capped by his 6-yard TD pass to Raghib Ismail early in the 4th quarter.

Hostetler throws for 319 yards and 2 TDs with Vince Evans adding a TD pass when Hostetler is briefly knocked out of the game. The passing effort helps overcome a team record-tying 17 penalties, including 9 in the 1st quarter.
