Detroit opens a 24-3 lead in the 1st half and is never challenged by Cleveland. Barry Sanders follows TD runs of 11 and 75 yards in the 1st half with a 2-yard TD run early in the 3rd quarter to open a 31-3 lead. Sanders finishes with 157 yards on 18 carries.

Scott Mitchell follows up an impressive performance by carving up the Browns' secondary for 273 yards and 2 TDs, both to Brett Perriman. Cleveland is held to under 150 yards offense until 2 late scoring drives.
