Cowboys turn back the Cardinals 34-20.

Dallas starts fast and then withstands a 2nd half surge by Arizona to improve to 4-0. The Cowboys jump out to a 21-3 lead in the 1st half before the Cardinals' offense begins to find weaknesses in the pass defense, and threaten to pull within a touchdown before Larry Brown picks off Dave Krieg in the end zone in the 4th quarter.

After the turnover, Dallas puts the game away when Sherman Williams breaks loose for a 44-yard TD run. Williams finishes with 79 yards on 8 carries while backstopping Emmitt Smith, who rushes for 116 yards and 2 TDs, and adds 3 catches for 53 yards. Troy Aikman throws for 251 yards and 1 TD with Michael Irvin catching 5 passes for 105 yards.

Krieg throws for 324 yards and 2 TDs, but also suffers 3 INTs. Rob Moore catches 9 passes for 154 yards and 1 TD.
