Bucs hang on for 17-16 win over the Jaguars.

Tampa Bay wins its when Steve Beuerlein's pass for a 2-point try is caught out of bounds, and then Martin Mayhew picks him off after Jacksonville recovered the ensuing onside kick. Beuerlein had hit Pete Mitchell for a 12-yard TD pass before the Jaguars go for the win rather than a tie.

Mitchell catches 10 passes for 161 yards. The Bucs managed just enough offense, getting 100 yards rushing and 2 TDs from Errict Rhett to help make up for an inept quarterback.
