St. Louis makes a final stop to deny a late rally by New York. After being punchless throughout, the Jets pull within 23-20 on Boomer Esiason's 23-yard TD pass to Charles Wilson, but a final drive goes nowhere.

The Rams struggle offensively as well, tossing 4 TDs ,including one returned for a TD. However, Mark Rypien manages a few big plays after replacing injured Chris Miller. Rypien connects with Isaac Bruce for a pair of TD passes in the 2nd half.
