Dallas rallies after falling behind early, and then again in the 4th quarter. San Francisco jumps in front 10-0 as the Cowboys start slowly, but the 49ers' offense is derailed when Young leaves the game with a concussion in the 2nd quarter.

Dallas draws even early in the 4th quarter on Chris Boniol's 26-yard FG after Kevin Smith picks off Elvis Grbac. San Francisco answers, retaking the lead on Terry Kirby's 27-yard TD run. After Troy Aikman is picked off inside the 10 ending a Cowboys' threat late in the 4th quarter, Aikman converts a 2nd chance following Fred Strickland's interception off Grbac. Aikman ties it with a 6-yard TD pass to Eric Bjornson with 2:45 left.

Dallas claims the victory on Boniol's 29-yard FG after taking the kickoff in OT and driving down the field on 12 plays. Aikman finishes with 230 yards passing and 1 TD, and 1 TD rushing.
