Game Notes

Bucs stun the 49ers 13-6.

Tampa Bay beats up San Francisco, holding the 49ers to just 191 total yards, while KO'ing Jerry Rice and Steve Young in the process. Rice departs with a serious knee injury in the 1st half, and Young misses much of the game after a blow to the head on the 1st series before returning in the 2nd half.

With San Francisco idled, the 49ers manage just a 6-0 lead in the 1st half with the Bucs rallying in the 2nd half, taking a 10-6 lead on Trent Dilfer's 1-yard TD pass to Dave Moore. Michael Husted adds a FG late to seal the outcome. The Bucs combine to sack Young and backup Jeff Brohm 7 times.
