New York wins it on Danny Kanell's 68-yard TD pass to Chris Calloway after Detroit had tied it late in 4th quarter. Calloway gathers Kanell's pass along the right sideline on the 3rd play of overtime, eluding a falling defender and sprints for the game-winner.

The Lions had tied it on Scott Mitchell's 4-yard TD pass to Johnnie Morton w/ 1:55 left. Mitchell had thrown for 243 yards while Barry Sanders rushes for 105 yards but ultimately it was not enough. Kanell throws for 220 yards and 2 TDs and Charles Way adds 90 yards rushing.
