The last stand of Dallas' "dynasty' fails as Carolina leaves the Cowboys battered and bruised and virtually eliminated from post-season contention. Emmitt Smith departs injured after just 1 play, and the Panthers spend the rest of the night harassing and hitting Troy Aikman.

Dallas manages just 216 total yards and looks like a MASH unit on the sideline. Meanwhile, Kerry Collins tosses a pair of TDs and John Kasay hits 3 FGs as Carolina stays alive in the wildcard chase.
