Game Notes
Jets edge Ravens 19-16 in OT.
New York recovers from giving up the lead on the final play from scrimmage to win it in OT, taking the kickoff and driving for John Hall's 37-yard FG. The Jets had managed to lead through most of the game despite gaining just 225 yards, forcing a QB change from Neil O'Donnell to Glenn Foley in the process.
Baltimore rolled up 447 yards on offense, but failed to find the end zone until Vinny Testaverde hits Derrick Alexander for a 16-yard TD pass with :03 left. The Ravens had failed to capitalize as heavy rains made conditions tricky.
The win coupled with losses by Miami and New England, moves the Jets into sole possession of 1st place in the AFC East.
