Falcons hold off the 49ers for 34-29 win on MNF.

Atlanta withstands a huge San Francisco rally when Jeff Garcia's pass into the end zone on the final play falls incomplete. The Falcons had built a 31-7 lead before the 49ers storm back in the 2nd half.

Tim Dwight helps at Atlanta with a huge night. Dwight starts the scoring with a 5-yard TD reception from Chris Chandler and then returns a punt 70 yards to give the Falcons a 17-7 lead w/ :12 left in the 1st half. After Chandler hits Terence Mathis for a 19-yard TD pass, Chandler connects with Dwight on a 60-yarder to open a 31-7 lead.

Dwight finishes with 7 catches for 162 yards while Chandler goes 19-of-37 for 306 yards and 3 TDs.
