Bills put away the Cardinals 31-21.

Buffalo withstands a rally by Arizona, claiming the win after Henry Jones returns an onside kick 37 yards for the clinching TD w/ 1:44 left. The Cardinals had overcome a 14-0 deficit to tie it at half time, and drew within 24-21 on Jake Plummer's 26-yard TD pass to Frank Sanders, preceding the onside kick.

The Bills dominated the game statistically, allowing just 178 total yards while gaining 376. Doug Flutie throws for 239 yards and 2 TDs, however, he was also picked twice with the 1st setting up the tying TD late in the 2nd quarter.
