Saints stagger the Cowboys 31-24.

New Orleans comes alive and puts a dent in Dallas' playoff chances. Jake Delhomme makes his NFL debut and throws for 278 yards and 2 TDs to lead the Saints to just their 3rd win of the season.

The Cowboys show some offensive life, but fall victim to 3 turnovers, including a fumble by Emmitt Smith that Fred Weary scoops up and returns 58 yards for a TD, breaking a 24-24 tie in the 4th quarter. Smith had rushed for 110 yards and 1 TD. However, Delhomme steals the show, hitting Eddie Kennison with a 51-yard TD pass to tie it 17-17 and then answering with a 4-yard TD run to tie it again after Dallas had regained the lead.
