Vikings wake up, beat the Cowboys 27-17.

Minnesota puts forth a totally inept performance until a fumble by Dallas late in the 1st half gives the Vikings a spark of life. Trailing 17-0, a bad shotgun snap sets up the 1st of 3 TD passes by Jeff George, cutting the deficit to 17-7 w/ 1:57 left in the 1st half.

Prior to the fumble Minnesota had produced just 22 yards on offense, but afterward the Vikings roll up 286 yards in just over a half. George finishes 17-of-30 for 218 yards. Emmitt Smith rushes for 140 yards and 2 TDs, including a 63-yarder before departing with a broken hand in the 1st half.
