Titans hammer the Jaguars 41-14.

Tennessee delivers an emphatic message, sweeping Jacksonville with dominating ease. Steve McNair hits 23-of-33 for 291 yards and 5 TD passes. Meanwhile, the Titans knock Mark Brunell from the game with a knee injury in the 1st half.

Tennessee rolls to a 17-0 lead before the Jaguars get on the board, however, Brunell is injured on the drive. McNair leads the Titans back on the next drive, capping it with a 7-yard TD pass to Yancey Thigpen for a 24-7 lead w/ :29 left in the 2nd quarter.

The 2nd half is more Tennessee with Jacksonville's lone highlight coming on Alvis Whitted's 98-yard KO return following McNair's 4th TD pass. Eddie George finishes with 102 yards rushing and Samari Rolle provides the defensive fireworks with 3 INTs.
