Game Notes

Jets deliver the Patriots a 24-17 stunner on MNF.

Heavy underdog New York jumps on New England for a 21-3 lead in the 1st half and withstands a 4th quarter rally to win it. The Jets control the game despite using a special teams player as its starting QB, with Ray Lucas making enough plays to go with a solid effort by the offensive line and Curtis Martin's running.

Martin rushes for 149 yards and 1 TD to carry the New York attack. Drew Bledsoe suffers a pair of INTs, before guiding the Patriots on a big 4th quarter rallying from 24-3 down to 24-17. However, Bledsoe's 3rd INT, in the closing 2 minutes, seals New England's fate.
