Kansas City ends Detroit's unbeaten start as Elvis Grbac tosses a pair of TDs and Donnell Bennett and Rashan Shehee spark the running game. Bennett and Shehee combine for 119 yards and 2 TDs after Bam Morris departs early.

After the Lions draw even at 7-7 in the 2nd quarter, Shehee scores on a 6-yard TD run and Pete Stoyanovich adds a 51-yard FG w/ :01 left in the 1st half. Grbac stretches the lead to 24-7 with a 25-yard TD pass to Joe Horn in the 3rd quarter.
