Indianapolis dominates early and then withstands a 4th quarter comeback by New England. Drew Bledsoe throws for 379 yards and 1 TDs, but the Colts stop a final threat by the Patriots to preserve the win and open a 2-game lead in the AFC East.

Peyton Manning tosses a pair of TD passes and Edgerrin James rushes for 101 yards and catches a TD pass. Manning's 2-yard TD pass to James gives Indianapolis a 14-6 lead at halftime. The Colts stretch the lead to 20-6 with a pair of Mike Vanderjagt FGs in the 3rd quarter before New England starts to rally.
