Titans derail the Rams 24-21.

Tennessee hands St. Louis its 1st loss after a 6-0 start as a late rally fails as Jeff Wilkins pushes a 38-yard FG wide right w/ :22 left. The Titans had sprinted to a 21-0 lead in the 1st half before the Rams comeback in the 2nd half.

Steve McNair throws for 2 TDs and runs for another, all in the 1st quarter. However, its the Tennessee defense and St. Louis mistakes that are the story. Jevon Kearse has a sack, a forced fumble, draws 2 holding penalties and induces Fred Miller into 5 false starts. Meanwhile, the Rams suffer 3 turnovers and 15 penalties.
