Redskins maul the Giants 50-21.

Washington sprints to a 21-0 lead and then turns back a brief rally by New York. Stephen Davis rushes for 126 yards and 3 TDs, all coming in the 1st quarter outburst.

The Giants appear to be climbing back into the game in the 2nd quarter, driving for a potential TD that would cut the gap to 7 points, but Shawn Barber picks off a screen pass by Kent Graham and returns it 70 yards for a TD. Brad Johnson throws for 231 yards and 3 TDs.
