Seattle makes a triumphant playoff debut, capitalizing on Denver turnovers and a near flawless offense. Dave Krieg hits 12-of-13 for 200 yards and 3 TDs while Curt Warner rushes for 99 yards.

The Broncos answer a Krieg-to-Steve Largent TD pass on the opening drive with a 13-yard TD pass from Steve DeBerg to Jesse Myles. But from then on, Denver short circuits, turning the ball over 3 times, one setting up a FG and another inside the Seattle 5, denying a score.

Krieg hits Pete Metzelaars with a 5-yard TD pass early in the 3rd quarter to open a 17-7 lead and then extends it with an 18-yard TD pass to Paul Johns in the 4th quarter.
