Cowboys prevail with a 30-17 win over the Bucs.

Dallas is able to capitalize when necessary to beat Tampa Bay. Doug Williams struggles with a horrendous performance completing just 1 of his 1st 14 passes, and finishes 8-of-28 with 3 INTs, the most costly coming when he delivers one directly to Monty Hunter resulting in a 19-yard return for the go-ahead TD and 23-17 lead in the 4th quarter.

The Bucs managed to overcome the dreadful day with the help of 2 big plays, a 60-yard fumble return by Hugh Green and a 49-yard catch-and-run for a TD by Gordon Jones after breaking loose of a tackle. However, the lack of offense leaves Tampa Bay's defense worn down, allowing Danny White to throw for 312 yards and 2 TDs while Tony Dorsett rushes for 110 yards.
