Minnesota shrugs off a slow start to send Dallas home for the season. The Cowboys had opened a 10-3 after Emmitt Smith's 5-yard TD run w/ 5:00 left in the 1st quarter. However, the Vikings the score the next 24 points and dominate the 2nd half.

Jeff George tosses 3 TD passes for Minnesota, drawing the Vikings with a 26-yard TD pass to Robert Smith early in the 2nd quarter and then follows with a 58-yardTD pass just before halftime for a 17-10 lead. George later hits Cris Carter with the clincher, a 5-yard TD pass early in the 4th quarter.

George finishes 12-of-25 for 212 yards while Robert Smith rushes for 140 yards on 28 carries and catches 3 passes for 58 yards.
