Game Notes

Falcons shock the Packers 27-7 on the snowy tundra.

Amid snow flurries on a not-quite frozen Lambeau Field, Atlanta puts Green Bay's unbeaten home playoff history on ice with a dominating performance from start to finish. The Falcons sprint out to a 14-0 lead and stay in control as the mistake-prone Packers turn it over 5 times.

Atlanta opens with a 10-yard TD reception by Shawn Jefferson and extends the lead when Artie Ulmer covers a blocked punt in the end zone. Following a blown call/turnover on a punt that bounces off an Atlanta player instead of a Packer, the Falcons capitalize on the gift for a 21-0 lead on T.J. Duckett's 6-yard TD run.

Green Bay shows a brief sign of life when Brett Favre's 14-yard TD pass to Donald Driver cuts it to 24-7 in the 3rd quarter, but the Packers have no magic this time.
