Giants stun the Eagles 27-21.

New York hits Philadelphia with a 20-0 blitz and then holds off the Eagles, in the Giants' 1st playoff game in 18 years. New York converts a pair of fumbles by returner Wally Henry, into 2 TDs.

Scott Brunner hits Leon Bright with a 9-yard TD pass and John Mistler with a 10-yard TD pass. Following the 2nd TD, Henry bobbles the kickoff and Mark Haynes recovers it in the end zone giving the Giants a 20-0 bulge in the 1st quarter.

The Eagles claw back, drawing within a TD late, but New York controls the game with its defense and 161 yards rushing by Rob Carpenter.
